AEC was engaged by BHL to prepare a Housing Market Assessment to investigate the need for housing in the South Creek West Land Release Area and the role the Lands could play in accommodating that demand. Key tasks that were required to fulfill the brief included a literature review, socio-demographic profiling, market trends analysis, market appraisal, investigation of the nature of housing supply and development activity and assessment of the adequacy of the South West supply pipeline. AEC identified the scale of the Lands presents an opportunity to develop a diverse and comprehensive residential offer than appeals to a wide market base, not only assisting with mitigating market risk but accelerating the take-up of residential product. AEC’s next steps involved completion of a Capacity Review and Take-Up projections following development of the Masterplan.
