AEC was part of a multi-disciplinary consultancy team led by SJB, engaged by Orange City Council, to prepare a Planning and Design Framework for the Orange City Centre in line with its designation as an Economic Activation Precinct. The overarching objective of the Competitive and Comparative Analysis was to assist Council understand Orange’s competitive offer as well as weaknesses that may be preventing Orange from achieving its full economic potential. To fulfil the requirements of the brief, AEC undertook a literature review, site visit to understand opportunities and constraints, socio-economic analysis of the region, market assessment of Orange as a commercial centre, comparative case study analysis and development of actions to assist Council.
