Client: Strathfield Council
State: NSW
AEC was engaged by Strathfield Council to prepare a detailed business case to determine the feasibility of constructing a leisure and aquatic centre within their Local Government Area (LGA). The facility was to include a 25m lap pool, a gym, a cafe, an indoor basketball stadium and a child care centre.
To develop this business case, AEC conducted a detailed demand assessment for each of the service streams available at the facility. Further to this a competitor analysis was conducted to ensure the facility was designed to meet shortfalls in the existing market.
AEC then calculated the financial and economic benefits of the facility, and developed a high level implementation plan for Council to action.
