Shire of Ashburton Economic Development Strategy

AEC partnered with the Shire of Ashburton to develop an economic development strategy focused on diversifying beyond mining, building vibrant communities, driving investment, and positioning the region as a place to live, visit, and invest. Five key enablers were identified: new community infrastructure, private investment in priority sectors, supportive government and private policies, and continuation of existing strengths. A dynamic five-year action plan was created to guide Council in achieving its long-term vision for economic prosperity.
