Welcome

Welcome to the September edition of AECascent. As the once prevailing, 'doom and gloom' headlines appear to lessen and encouraging news stories brighten our front pages, it feels safe to say that the Global Financial Crisis is fading. Although, let's not be hasty. We know the economy will remain delicate for a while yet, but it appears the worst is over and the economy recovery wheels are pedalling in the right direction.

In this edition you'll read some interesting articles:

  • Stop, press! AECgroup new Sydney office is now open. The purchase of the new office represents AECgroup's commitment to growing the business within the New South Wales market.
  • Robert's piece titled 'Property Post Global Financial Crisis' reaffirms that slowly, but surely the property market is picking up.
  • Michael's article discusses the often contentious issue of 'incentives' and suggests that if incentives are used 'properly' they can be an effective tool for economic development.

Sit back and enjoy some light, optimistic reading as we continue to celebrate our 10th successful year in business.
