The new e-face of the AECgroup

The AECgroup recently implemented an internal Knowledge Information Management System (or KIM for short). KIM is an intranet system developed from the ground up by AECinfotec to addresses the company's internal business information management and workflow needs.

Management looked around for two-years for an information system that would match our business model, but every time we were directed to a multi vendor solution that no one could guarantee would do the job we wanted it to do. Our brief was very simple. All we required was a basic contact and time billing system that would interface with MYOB, be accessible from all our offices and be cost effective.

KIM provides much more than that including:

Customer relationship management including contacts, contact history, companies and lists

Job control including purchasing, invoicing and timesheets
Conference administration including on-line booking and billing
Links with MYOB to transfer timesheets and accessing financial reporting
Staff diaries and appointments
Staff communication mediums such as a notice board and discussion threads
Company document and template archive for completed jobs and tenders
User level access control and
An integrated help system

KIM also includes a comprehensive reporting system that will enable management to access job, financial and staff productivity information on the fly.
